Army Reserve Family Programs
Web Portal has been developed specifically for Army Reserve family members. It is a powerful tool developed to provide answers to many potential questions. You can find information ranging from medical and dental practices to child and youth programs on the portal. Check out their Virtual FRG.
Army Knowledge Online (AKO)
A central clearinghouse for Army information. You will find information on Army Reserve benefits and Family Support. All soldiers have a dedicated Army email account through AKO. Family Members are eligible for a free AKO email account.
Army Community Service (ACS)
Resources on Deployment and Financial Readiness, Relocation, Employment, Family Support and the Army Exceptional Family Member Program for family members with special needs.
Army Emergency Relief
The Army’s own emergency financial assistance organization and is dedicated to “Helping the Army Take Care of Its Own”. AER Can help with emergency financial needs for: food, rent or utilities, Emergency transportation and vehicle repair, Funeral expenses, Medical/dental expenses, Personal needs when pay is delayed or stolen. AER offers undergraduate-level education scholarships, based primarily on financial need, to children of soldiers.
America Supports You
A nationwide program launched by the Department of Defense in November 2004 that showcases the many ways America is showing its support for service members and their families. The program is designed to gather information about and recognize the many activities Americans are doing to support our troops. More importantly, “America Supports You “ lets service members and their families know about these programs. Individuals or groups can join the “America Supports You” team by submitting information about their activities through the official website.
